Centaurworld Season One (4.5-ish hrs)
Date: 2026-03-15 12:58 am (UTC)Media: Cartoon
Where to find it: Netflix!
What is it, in summary?: A horse is separated from her rider during a war (aptly named Horse and Rider respectively), only to end up in another world that runs on magic and silliness. Horse meets and teams up with a group of centaurs (and a birdtaur, because everything is a -taur here in Centaurword) who help her on her search for Rider. There's a bit more to the plot but I don't want to give too much away because it's such a delightful watch!
What do you love about it?: I love a good fish out of water story and found family, and this show has so much of both!! They're all misfits who belong together, I love them. Season one I feel has a satisfying enough ending on its own without season two feeling necessary, and it's only a little over 4 hours to watch the full season! (Of course, I think both seasons/the whole series is great, but season one stands super well on its own!)
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Gay horses 🙏
Content Warnings: Possible photosensitivity warning, grief, trauma, suicidality, codependency, parental abuse, abandonment, war, body horror (cute and creepy), body image issues, occasional shock horror elements and disturbing humor
(I asked about the eligibility of this last year, but if criteria/verdict has changed, I understand! https://bitesizedfandomsex.dreamwidth.org/5494.html?thread=46454#cmt46454)
Class of '09 (2 hrs) / Class of '09: The Re-Up (3.5 hrs) (5.5 hrs for both)

https://youtu.be/p6UJsjQCI3A
https://youtu.be/uP_hN30I0EQ (found a new playthrough if you saw the earlier link)
What is it, in summary?: A character-driven slice-of-life VN with various routes where you play as a highschooler named Nicole in the 2000s. Nicole is a very pessimistic and sarcastic character, and each route involves elements of shock value humor, so be wary of that if you haven't heard of this game before!
What do you love about it?: Nicole in general but also her many many girlfriends<3
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Nicole in general but also her many many girlfriends<3
Content warnings: Dark/Edgy humor (pedophilia, racism, abuse, etc), suicide, overdose, depression, drug + alcohol use and abuse, offensive language, discussions of/jokes about sex
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (4-ish hrs)
Date: 2026-03-15 01:19 am (UTC)Media: Anime
Where to find it: Netflix!
What is it, in summary?: An anime adaptation of the Scott Pilgrim comic series, played by the cast of the movie adaptation, told as an AU/canon-divergence of the original series! It holds up pretty well without context from the comics/movie, but it provides more fun easter eggs and references if you're aware of them.
What do you love about it?: Scott Pilgrim is such a fun and silly world and I'm so fond of all of the characters, and I definitely love how fleshed out they all feel here!!
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Women 🙏
Content warnings: Possible photosensitivity warning, sex jokes, video game violence
Love Angel Syndrome (30-40 mins)
Date: 2026-03-15 05:30 am (UTC)Media: visual novel
Where to find it: It's free on itch.io!
https://ladyoph3lia.itch.io/loveangelsyndrome
What is it, in summary?: A mentally ill hikikomori girl named Yuuna is obsessed with a magical girl anime and spends her days online on forums about it. One day, she finds an ad for a desktop assistent modeled after the main character of the anime, Ai, and downloads it. Turns out the desktop assistant has a consciousness of its own!
What do you love about it?: The artstyle is very charming, and despite it being so short, it stuck with me for a while after playing it. I love how it explores the (toxic) relationship between Yuuna and Ai and its twist on the yandere trope.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Toxic toxic toxic lesbians! Codependenent and self-destructive lesbians!
Content warnings: Taken from the official website - This game contains depictions of blood, self-harm, imagery of suicide, heavy talk about mental health, depression and family issues. Elements of this game may induce paranoia. This game may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy.
ENA: Dream BBQ (5 hrs)
Date: 2026-03-15 07:58 am (UTC)Media: Game
Where to find it: On Steam for free.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2134320/ENA_Dream_BBQ/
What is it, in summary?: An interactive adventure game where you play as ENA and explore surreal, psychedelic worlds in search of "The Boss." During your searh, you pick up side quests for characters just as strange as you, and receive payments, some more useful than the others. The game is tied to the ENA web series by Joel G, but can be played as a standalone work.
What do you love about it?: The art direction in this game is amazing! The character designs are very charming, the animation is very impressive, and the gameplay itself both made me laugh and kept me excited to more that's to come from this series. Definitely check it out if you're into games like LSD Dream Emulator!
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Something that has the same kind of surreal vibe as the source material. Or a crackfic.
Content warnings: From the official page - This game contains sections with flashing lights and images that may induce seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy. This game contains visuals and language that some individuals may find disturbing. Viewer discretion is advised.
The Protomen (2.5-ish hours)
Date: 2026-03-16 09:58 pm (UTC)Media: Rock Opera (3 albums
so far), it's about 2 hours and 38 minutes in its current runtime.Where to find it:
You can buy physical albums with liner notes on their Bandcamp, or listen to the songs on streaming services (they may be missing liner notes/have inaccurate lyrics, but you can still get a lot of the story from them) There's also a fan wiki on miraheze, but it's not complete yet.
What is it, in summary?:
It's a dystopian sci-fi rock opera with 80's style rock music telling a story of grief, robots, heroes, and revenge, in a vicious cycle. The characters are based on/from Mega Man, but it's its own story and alternate universe of the characters.
What do you love about it?:
Despite how dark the initial description is, the music is AMAZING and there's an underlying sense of hope to the tragedy -- it challenges the audience to make a choice and change the story (especially when considering live show elements). There's a beautiful sadness and connection between the main characters in act I as doomed siblings, and the characters have depth and nuance that make them more than just clear-cut heroes and villains.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?:
Canon-compliant missing scenes, less canon compliant fluff and ships (I want to see the doomed brothers get to be BROTHERS for once!! And I want the hopeful heroine to actually be able to convince the hero who fell to try again...)
Content warnings (for example: epilepsy/flashing lights, rape, incest, racism, gore/violence):
Violence, character death, character resurrection, lynching (in one song in the second act and again in the third act), fascism, suicidal thoughts
Inner Gold, Mr. FEAR, Starlight Brigade (Music Videos)
Date: 2026-03-16 10:10 pm (UTC)Media: Music Video
Where to find it: here on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnHIe_USfL4)
What is it, in summary?: It's a music video showing the journey of one dancer learning to break out of a dystopian-looking mold by finding what she loves and what "powers" her, and spreading that hope to the others inside the system.
What do you love about it?: For a fairly dystopian-looking music video, it's beautiful, and the lyrics fit perfectly with the story it tells. All the characters despite very brief screentime feel pretty defined!
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Ideas of what the Inspector-like characters watching over the dancers want or are trying to do, continuations of the story showing how Royal's character broke out, more worldbuilding or found family-like ideas with the dancer girls as a group.
Content warnings (for example: rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): None
Title: Mr. FEAR (SIAMES)
Media: Music Video
Where to find it: here on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKLWC93nvAU)
What is it, in summary?: Mr. FEAR is the story of two beings who have a strange ability - to combine with each other when they touch, creating a monster - or perhaps just a physical representation of their conflict. This creature lashes out at the world around it, and other people fight back and try to isolate them, but it won't solve the main problem.
What do you love about it?: I love the concept of a fusion between characters who aren't necessarily friends or enemies, I like the dynamic between them and the almost tragedy of how they can't resolve their problems because of how much it will risk danger to everyone else.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Post-canon or pre-canon, stuff to do with why the two characters can do this and how it started, whether they ever can solve things.
Content warnings (for example: rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): Violence (not extremely graphic), minor character death, open ending
Title: Starlight Brigade (TWRP ft. Dan Avidan)
Media: Music Video
Where to find it: here on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9Q3i5w6-Ug)
What is it, in summary?: A classic 80s-cartoon style hero's journey, condensed into a music video with banger lyrics and art. A fun space opera with high stakes despite the overall lighthearted tone!
What do you love about it?: It's colorful and fun and reads exactly like a toy-selling cartoon from the 80s, but is a single music video. The main character is adorable and hopeful, and it has an uplifting feeling to it.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Past "episodes" filling in parts we didn't see of the story, like how the other team members were recruited or how they located the villains of the story. Future "episodes" of the 80s series it seems to be a pilot of.
Content warnings (for example: rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): Non-graphic violence, mental health themes?
The Build-A-Boyfriend Project - Mason Deaver [371 Page fake dating romcom book]
Date: 2026-03-17 07:08 am (UTC)Title: The Build-A-Boyfriend Project - Mason Deaver
Media: Book (371 pages)
Where to find it: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Book-A-Million, Indigo, Waterstones
What is it, in summary?:
Eli Francis is stuck. Stuck in an assistant position at the online magazine Vent when he should be a writer. Stuck with a boss who dangles a promotion but would rather he just fetch the coffee. Stuck working alongside the ex who has had no trouble moving up at work…or moving on.
When Eli’s roommates push him to date so he can get over his ex once and for all, they set him up with Peter Park. Tall, handsome, and unbelievably awkward. The date is a complete disaster, and further proof to Eli that love isn’t for him. But when his boss overhears Eli recounting the catastrophic night, he suggests teaching Peter to be a better boyfriend through a series of simulated dates so he can write an article about it.
But Eli has other ideas…Eli plays along, pretending to write the article, while secretly interviewing Peter about growing up queer in the South and coming-of-age dating-wise in adulthood. Eli hopes writing this sort of piece will finally get him the promotion he deserves. And in exchange, he will teach Peter how to be a better boyfriend.
But the more time Eli spends with Peter, the closer they become, and the lines between what’s real and what’s fake begin to blur. Before long, Eli is forced to face his greatest fears to become the writer he wants to be and secure the love he’s always needed.
What do you love about it?:
Trans man representation! An absolute ringer for fake dating tropes! This romantic comedy will have you kicking your feet and dabbing your eyes. Trans man and Buzzfeed-esque journalist Eli teaches Korean-American shut-in Peter to fake date in exchange for writing an article on Peter. Naturally, things don't go to plan when feelings come into the mix. I love this book to complete pieces! I was booing Eli's ex and his employer right from the start - they are great villains! Eli and Peter's romance swept me off my feet - Eli is so quirky, and Peter is a total cinnamon roll! The emotional journey that they go on with each other is extremely gratifying - they complement and complete one another perfectly.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?:
Eli Francis/Peter Park
Content warnings:
Discussion of Transphobia, Homophobia, and Racism (particularly anti-Asian sentiment), Grief (loss of a parent to cancer), Alcohol Consumption, Vomiting (due to alcohol), Casual Marijuana Use, Mentions of Past Gender Dysphoria, Workplace Exploitation, Third-Act Break-Up (resolved before the end), Explicit Sex
A Lady for a Duke - Alexis Hall [460 page historical romance book]
Date: 2026-03-17 07:11 am (UTC)Title: A Lady for a Duke - Alexis Hall
Media: Book (460 pages)
Where to find it: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Indigo, Waterstones
What is it, in summary?:
When Viola Carroll was presumed dead at Waterloo, she took the opportunity to live, at last, as herself. But freedom does not come without a price, and Viola paid for hers with the loss of her wealth, her title, and her closest companion, Justin de Vere, the Duke of Gracewood.
Only when their families reconnect, years after the war, does Viola learn how deep that loss truly was. Shattered without her, Gracewood has retreated so far into grief that Viola barely recognizes her old friend in the lonely, brooding man he has become.
As Viola strives to bring Gracewood back to himself, fresh desires give new names to old feelings. Feelings that would have been impossible once and may be impossible still, but which Viola cannot deny. Even if they cost her everything, all over again.
What do you love about it?:
Trans woman representation! Viola was a soldier at Waterloo, and so was her best friend. She was injured in the battle and spent months recovering, only to realize she'd been reported killed in action. She decides to roll with it and transition, going back to England to live as the niece of a sympathetic relative while her dead-name stays dead. Unbeknownst to her, her best friend - the duke - is traumatized by combat and specifically by her death, for which he blames himself. They meet again years later, and he doesn't recognize her, but feels an instant connection. The pining only ramps up from there, while their lives become infinitely more complicated. Despite all the various turmoils they go through, they get the happy ending they deserve.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?:
Viola Carroll/Justin de Vere Duke of Gracewood
Content warnings:
Intense Grief, Drug Addiction (specifically laudanum dependency and alcoholism), PTSD, Panic Attack, Transphobia, Dysphoria, Toxic Masculinity, Kidnapping, Suicidal Ideation, Suicide Attempt, Severe Physical Pain (Gracewood's leg injury from the war), Classism, Explicit Sex
Court of the Vampire Queen - Katee Robert [496 page dark vampire romance book]
Date: 2026-03-17 07:16 am (UTC)Title: Court of the Vampire Queen - Katee Robert
Media: Book (496 pages)
Where to find it: Amazon (free with Kindle Unlimited), Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Indigo, Waterstones
What is it, in summary?:
Three Powerfully Alluring Vampire Men and One Queen to Rule Them All.
All Mina ever wanted was to escape her father's control. Half human, half vampire, she lived eternally torn between two worlds, never fully experiencing the pleasures of either-until her father chose her as the pawn in his latest political move, gifting her to the darkly powerful and dangerously seductive Malachi Zion.
Malachi is not a vampire to be trifled with. He rules with an iron fist and has a reputation for the darkest of sins. But the longer Mina spends with him, the more she realizes he's not the monster she first thought--and as fear bleeds into lust, then trust, then something more, Malachi opens Mina up to a world she never knew could be hers for the taking, including the love of Malachi's two closest friends and companions.
Now surrounded by all three men, the center of their shockingly seductive world, Mina may finally have the power to face down her father and take back the life - and crown - that by all rights should be hers.
What do you love about it?:
I'm not going to lie to you, this book is about 2/5ths smut. I would also say that smut is A+ top-tier smut, while also helping to flesh out the world. Although Mina is the one to bring them back together, the three men had been lovers for centuries before - their interactions are just as emotionally charged with each other as they are with Mina. Besides that, the book's world-building is a good mix of classic vampire tropes and a few interesting twists. Each of the vampires has a special bloodline superpower, and Mina has more than a few surprises of her own. Hands down, this is one of my favorite canon polyamory ships. If you like dark polyamorous romance, you should give this one a try!
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?:
Malachi/Mina/Rylan/Wolf
Content warnings:
[A comprehensive list from the book's content warnings page]
Dubious Consent, Blood Play, Patricide, Pregnancy, Blood, Gore, Murder, Explicit Sex, Vomiting (caused by pregnancy), Discussions About Abortion, Abusive Parent (father, historical, off-page), Attempted Sexual Assault (alluded to, non-graphic), Attempted Drugging
Four Assassins (2011)
Date: 2026-03-20 01:10 am (UTC)Media: movie
Where to find it:
YouTube, Amazon, Tubi, all for cheap if not free (Tubi)
What is it, in summary?: Marcus (Will Yun Lee) is an assassin who just completed a job, but there's a problem: a body is missing. The crime boss who sent him to do the job sends three other assassins after him to find out what happened. Eli (Miguel Ferrer) was Marcus' mentor and is paternal towards him and fellow assassin Cordelia (Mercedes Renard), but what starts as a friendly reunion quickly becomes an interrogation, especially when the three are joined by Chase (Oliver Williams), who has no connection with the others and just wants to find out what happened to that missing body. Things escalate, and through it all Marcus is clearly hiding something... but what?
What do you love about it?: For an "action thriller" (according to Wikipedia), it's actually fairly subdued. There are only a few action scenes, and most of the charm of the movie comes from the four titular assassins playing off each other. I especially love Eli (I can't help it, I imprinted on Miguel Ferrer like a baby duck) and his relationship with Marcus and Cordelia. He scolds them for not putting away enough money for retirement in one breath and orders Marcus tortured in the next. The three of them together are such a delightful mix, and with Chase as a wild card, even the fairly obvious twist doesn't kill the movie.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Eli! Hurt/comfort, whump, his relationship with Cordelia and Marcus or with the crime boss who sent him.
Content warnings: Mild gore, lots of death, non-graphic torture (it's bloody, but not over-the-top), and there's one scene where Marcus is trying to assassinate a fat guy that seems a little disrespectful to me. IDK, it bugged me a little.
Hana No Asuka-Gumi (movie 2 hours)

What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: toxic yuri

Voicelugger (Jdrama/tokusatsu 5 hours/12 eps total)
Date: 2026-03-22 02:37 am (UTC)Media: tv show
Where to find it: good luck
What is it, in summary?: four children from space, raised in secret on earth, must come together as adults and defend themselves and the powers they hold from being taken by an evil empire who aims to use it for world domination… except it’s set in our world, the main character is a fan of such stories, and things don’t go as smoothly as you think.
What do you love about it?: those of you familiar with superhero Tokusatsu, from Power Rangers to something more niche, how would you like to see a deconstruction of what it means to be a hero in the real world and why it’s worth trying anyways. With a female Red. Madoka if it were created by Takeuchi, you could say.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: poly team, toxic yuri, character and relationship studies, etc
Content warnings (for example: epilepsy/flashing lights, rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): violence/gore, major character death

3 Short Films/Series! (Ambition, Escape from Divinity, Tears of the Mountain)
Date: 2026-03-22 07:01 am (UTC)Media: Short film (6:39min)
Where to find it: Youtube Link
What is it, in summary?: A short distant-future sci-fi film, discussing the nature of the human race and what it has achieved, depicted through the lens of a master of a powerful terraforming technology giving his apprentice a final lesson.
What do you love about it?: The imagery of this film is what first really grabbed me, but the the philosophy is also deeply interesting and really hits home for me, as does its reference to The Rosetta Mission.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Pre-canon, how did the Master and Apprentice meet, and what was her training like? Post-canon, what is their relationship like after her training's complete? Worldbuilding re: terraforming technology.
Content warnings: None
Title: Escape from Divinity - ToastyGlow
Media: Short animatic series (about 28min)
Where to find it: Youtube Link
What is it, in summary?: A series of short animatics following two characters that escape from a rigid and violent dogma, find safety, and begin to come to terms with their trauma as they fall in love and learn to live normal lives.
What do you love about it?: The art is gorgeous, the story is so well told and so full of emotion, and the whole series is an absolute master class in pacing, symbolism, composition, and visual storytelling.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: A closer look at several character relationships and interactions, worldbuilding re: magic, culture, setting details.
Content warnings: Violent death and execution, child death, enslavement, torture, mind/body control, misuse of religious power, child kidnapping, PTSD.
Title: Tears of the Mountain - GOBELINS animated short
Media: Animated short film (7:38min)
Where to find it: Youtube Link
What is it, in summary?: A short film about two sisters who have lost their mother, and are struggling to survive. The older of the two is hired to hunt the Mountain Spirit, a white Yutyrannus, despite her mother and sister's devotion to the Spirit.
What do you love about it?: The gorgeous art caught my eye first off, as did the presence of the Yutyrannus, but it's also a moving and intense story of grief and acceptance, themes I'm a constant sucker for. It's just a really beautiful little film.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Pre-canon, Jaya and Amala's relationship with their mother, and some of the stories she might have told about the Mountain Spirit. Post-canon, the sisters' continued relationship with each other, and with the Mountain Spirit going forward, especially if more people are sent to hunt it. Worldbuilding re: dinosaurs in the setting, dinosaurs as spirits/subjects of worship and devotion.
Content warnings: Guns and violence, animal harm, minor character deaths.
2 Movies! (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Highlander (1986))
Date: 2026-03-22 07:30 am (UTC)Media: Film (126min)
Where to find it: Available for rent on Plex, Prime Video, Apple TV
What is it, in summary?: A retelling of the legend of King Arthur, in which Arthur's uncle murders his father and usurps the throne when he's still a child, forcing Arthur himself to flee and grow up hard on the streets of Londinium.
What do you love about it?: This is about as anachronistic as you can get, but I thought this was such an interesting version of the tale, with Arthur growing up as a street kid raised in a brothel, and his father's court living mostly in hiding. It makes for a very different dynamic and setup for character development than you see in most King Arthur tales. I was also charmed by the quick, snappy dialogue and Guy Ritchie's signature editing style.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Pre-canon, how the resistance against the usurper was established, and what members of the resistance did in the time between Uther's death and Arthur's rise. How relationships among key resistance members developed over time. During or post-canon, how those same relationships shift during or after the events of the movie, and what key resistance members think and feel about those events.
Content warnings: Violence, multiple character deaths, some major, severe abuse of power by a ruler and law enforcement, brief depictions of slavery, brief depictions of abuse.
Title: Highlander (1986)
Media: Film (110min)
Where to find it: Available free on Tubi. Also available like. . . everywhere else, too.
What is it, in summary?: Follows Connor MacLeod, one of a race of Immortals living alongside humanity, from his early life in 16th-century Scotland to his modern existence in New York, and his encounters with an old and powerful enemy, the Kurgan.
What do you love about it?: This movie is corny and has a ridiculous premise, and leans into it hard. It's not afraid to be exactly what it is, it has fun dialogue, utterly baffling worldbuilding that you can't help but love, epic sword fights, ridiculous effects, a scenery-chewing villain played by Clancy Brown, and also Sean Connery in a peacock feather cape. It's just a ton of fun, and there's a lot to play with in the setting.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Depictions of Connor and Rachel's relationship throughout her life, how they met, how they got established in NYC, etc. Depictions of Connor and Kastagir's relationship, how they met, the nonsense they got up to. Fix-it stories for Kastagir's death.
Content warnings: Violence, multiple character deaths, beheading, depictions of battle, mentions of rape.
3 Odds & Ends! (A Matter of Profit, Idistaviso, South of Midnight)
Date: 2026-03-22 04:55 pm (UTC)Media: Novel (268 pages)
Where to find it: Online booksellers, possibly local booksellers or libraries. Bookshop Link
What is it, in summary?: Short sci-fi novel about a young soldier just returned from a war zone. When tasked with stopping an assassination plot by his father, he discovers a great deal about the diverse cultures and peoples of the interplanetary confederacy his own people recently conquered, and learns the assassination plot can't possibly be what he initially assumed.
What do you love about it?: I always love a colorful sci-fi setting, and this one has so much fun detail, and paints such a fascinating picture of the people and the setting. I enjoy the characters and their journey and development, and there's also a particular twist at the end that always delights me.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Post-canon, Ahvren and the Bibliogoth's relationship, further exploration of T'Chin culture, pre-canon, the histories of several characters' relationships with one another. Worldbuilding re: T'Chin culture and interaction with the Vivitare.
Content warnings: Conquest and colonization, intense cultural misogyny, referenced assassination, non-graphic loss of limb, references and brief depiction of torture.
Title: Idistaviso - Syr
Media: Song (4:30min)
Where to find it: Youtube Link
What is it, in summary?: A song about a pair of brothers at odds with one another, perhaps violently so.
What do you love about it?: The opening guitar grabbed me right off. I'm a sucker for any western style music, and this fits the bill wonderfully. The story it tells also really intrigued me, and inspires a lot of curiosity about how the two characters ended up where they are.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Pre-canon, what sort of relationship the two brothers had, how they fell out and separated from one another, what both of them have done to end up where they are. Post-canon, how events fall out now that the brothers are face to face again.
Content warnings: None
Title: South of Midnight
Media: Video Game
Where to find it: Steam Link. Playthrough video links: 1 and 2
What is it, in summary?: Follows a young woman in search of her missing mother as she discovers a skill with magic she never knew she possessed, and an unseen world full of monsters and unexpected tragedy. Very much a story about grief, loss, generational trauma, and learning to come to terms with it all.
What do you love about it?: The original trailer got its hooks in me and didn't let go. I love the art style and the visuals, I love the characters, and upon actually playing the game, I absolutely love the worldbuilding and the lore and all the connections to genuine southern American folklore and mythology. The themes of grief and acceptance are also something I'm constantly interested in. The use of music, especially in boss fights, is top notch.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Post-canon, Hazel learning to handle her new abilities and responsibilities in day to day life, her relationship with some of the creatures and beings she's now aware of and has to interact with. Her family's view of what she's done and what she does now, and of the world she's found herself a part of. The way relationships between those around her develop in the wake of canon events.
Content warnings: Multiple past character deaths including deaths of children, violence, themes of neglect and abuse, repeated mentions of slavery, abuse of power. Probably a fair few other things along these lines, parts of the game are fairly dark.
The Northman (2022 movie, 136 minutes)
Date: 2026-03-26 03:10 pm (UTC)The Northman (2022 movie, 136 minutes)
Media: Movie
Where to find it: Streaming on Netflix, rent or buy on Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango
What is it, in summary?:
Wikipedia says “The Northman is a 2022 American epic dark fantasy period action drama film directed by Robert Eggers….Based on the legend of Amleth from Gesta Danorum by Saxo Grammaticus, the film follows Amleth, an exiled Viking prince who sets out on a quest to avenge the murder of his father at the hands of his uncle at the height of the Viking Age. It features an ensemble cast of Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Anya Taylor-Joy, Gustav Lindh, Ethan Hawke, Björk, and Willem Dafoe.“
Firecat says: The elevator pitch might have gone like this: “Hamlet, only set in Iceland during the time of the Vikings, and Hamlet is a berserker, so not quite as introspective as Shakespeare’s version.” (After I wrote that I learned that the legend of Amleth was in fact the inspiration for Hamlet.)
What do you love about it?:
Very bloody and gory and rageful, but also tender in moments. Men dueling near-nekkid. A little Oedipal stuff. Watching Alexander Skarsgård play a character with certain similarities to Murderbot (insofar as they are both warriors) but much much different. Valiant attempts at accuracy as to Norse culture and myth. Sometimes it breaks out in poetic language. Hallucinogenic shamanic sequences. My favorite bit from the IMDB trivia: “Filming was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This had some advantages: it allowed wooden sets to weather realistically, and the beards of several actors to grow even longer.”
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?:
Solo Amleth (protagonist), Amleth/Fjolnir the Brotherless (Amleth’s uncle)
Content warnings: Violence and gore (lots, lovingly dwelt upon), sexual assault (mostly not shown on screen), slavery, hallucinatory sequences, child abuse, animal death, character death, classically tragic ending. For details, check DoesTheDogDie.com
4 Paintings - In a Roman Osteria, Requiescat, Space Between the Words, The Weaving of a Spring Dream
Date: 2026-03-30 07:33 am (UTC)Title: In a Roman Osteria - Carl Bloch
Media: Painting
Where to find it: https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/in-a-roman-osteria/QAFizpSvU6qx6g
What is it, in summary?: Three people at a table in a Roman tavern. A young man turns toward the viewer with an irritated expression. The woman to his right smiles at us knowingly. The older woman on his left looks amused.
What do you love about it?: It gives "walked in at the wrong moment". It went semi-viral when a BBC Radio 1 DJ discovered he looked exactly like the man in the painting and did a live recreation. There's a ton of energy and emotion to the scene. Who are these people to each other? Why is he so angry we're looking? Why is she so pleased about it? And who is the onlooker supposed to be?
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: I want the story behind the scene, the relationships between the characters in the painting, as well as the onlooker whose eyes we are looking for.
Content warnings: Alcohol
Title: Requiescat - Briton Rivière
Media: Painting
Where to find it: https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/requiescat/5AEAv-_kjpPfkQ
What is it, in summary?: A medieval knight in full armor lies dead on a bed draped with blue floral fabric, a wreath placed on his body. His dog — a bloodhound — sits beside the bed, watching his face. The title means "may he rest in peace," a prayer for the dead.
What do you love about it?: The quiet devastation of it. There's no battle scene, no glory, just the dog. The dog's expression is what sells the whole painting; it's alert and watchful, not understanding death, just waiting for its person to get up - or maybe it knows and stands guard regardless? The loyalty is doubly sad if so.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Who was the knight? What was the bond between him and the dog? I'd love backstory — their life together, the campaign he didn't come home from, the last time the dog saw him alive. I'd also go for a scene just from the POV of the dog.
Content warnings: Major Character Death
Title: Space Between the Words - Rob Gonsalves
Media: Painting
Where to find it: Search "Rob Gonsalves Space Between the Words" for images.
What is it, in summary?: Two realities merging, books and the world beyond. Some surrealism or magical realism type stuff! Stairs into books, pages into portals, and two figures, one at the center, one at the threshold, both holding books.
What do you love about it?: It wants me to imagine what it means to lose oneself in books. I've felt this way, and I think these two figures have as well. The surreal aspects of the painting are of course pointing at like, actual things that happen in real life, and what it's like to dive into something and read it.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: I'm not entirely sure yet! Something about the two figures, about the power of fiction and other worlds and maybe magic...
Content warnings: None.
Title: The Weaving of a Spring Dream - Rob Gonsalves
Media: Painting
Where to find it: Search "Rob Gonsalves Weaving of a Spring Dream" for images.
What is it, in summary?: A woman naps on a couch by a fireplace on a winter evening. Below her, the ornate rug on the floor seamlessly transforms into a lush spring garden. The pattern of the rug becomes the landscape of her dream. Outside the window, it's cold and snowy.
What do you love about it?: Something about it seems cozy and imaginative to me. Being warm, dreaming of spring, tucked in while the cold is outside. I just like it, and I also like to imagine what it might turn out to be for her in her dream!
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Who is this woman? What is she dreaming about, specifically — is it a place she remembers, or one she's inventing? Is it real, or just a dream, or maybe both? Still thinking about what I'd request for this one.

Where to find it: Read it online starting at https://www.checkpleasecomic.com/comic/01-01-01 or offline in its two print collections.
What is it, in summary?: Eric Bittle, a gay Southern former figure skater, joins an eccentric NCAA hockey team at a prestigious New England university. The comic to date covers his four years of college with a defined ending, but this is a great time to jump on board (or jump back in, if you've read it in the past), because its creator recently announced an upcoming fifth season to come later this year.
What do you love about it?: Check, Please! is a sweet, quirky, funny webcomic about coming of age, coming out, and finding friends and love in unexpected places. I love its found family vibes, character development, and warmth.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Ransom/Holster, Shitty/Lardo, Bitty/Jack (all of these names will make sense if you read it), or a focus on friendship and found family.
Content warnings:
Past drug overdose in Season 1, Comic 6: The Hockey Prince, with repercussions and intermittent references throughout the series.
Bullet Train (2022) (2hrs 6mins)
Date: 2026-03-31 10:24 pm (UTC)Media: Movie
Where to find it: Netflix, Channel 4, Amazon
What is it, in summary?: Bullet Train (2022) follows Ladybug (Brad Pitt), an unlucky, pacifist assassin determined to complete a simple mission peacefully on a high-speed Japanese train. He must steal a briefcase, but soon clashes with multiple, intersecting dangerous killers—including British assassins Lemon and Tangerine—who are all connected by fate and a shared, hidden agenda.
What do you love about it?: There is just SO MUCH chaos and so many delightful characters in this. Tangerine (my beloved) is my all-time favourite character; he just has such wonderful contradictions. Designer suits, football tattoos and knuckle dusters; an impressive attention to detail but a little too much trust in his brother’s competence at times; a fierce loyalty and protectiveness – but only to his brother, Lemon. The bond between Tanngerine and Lemon is just? Aaaa it is heartbreaking and wonderful all in one.
Ladybug is also so delightful. A bit of a mess, he’s known for his terrible luck, his refusal to use guns, and his return to a life of crime following a bit of a breakdown-come-new-age-awakening. He’s always mansplaining and talking about his therapist, but has good intentions beneath that terrible luck.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: I’d love smut, but I would be just as happy with romance, romcom, or gen! I’ve asked for every possible combination, from m/f Tangerine x Reader, through to Ladybug & Barry (his therapist, that the director said would have been Keaneau Reeves if he’d been cast). As long as there is no major character death, I am going to be happy~
Content warnings (for example: epilepsy/flashing lights, rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): Some scenes with a lot of blood and neon lights. It’s a 15 rating (or an R).
Kraven the Hunter (2024) (2hrs 7mins)
Date: 2026-03-31 10:25 pm (UTC)Media: Movie
Where to find it: Netflix, Amazon Prime
What is it, in summary?:Kraven the Hunter (2024) is an R-rated, action-packed origin story following Sergei Kravinoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), a man seeking to escape the legacy of his ruthless gangster father, Nikolai (Russell Crowe). After a near-death experience with a lion grants him superhuman instincts and abilities, Sergei becomes a brutal vigilante, targeting criminal associates while protecting his brother, Dimitri (Fred Hechinger).
What do you love about it?: OK! Ok s o. This movie is a hot mess (/lh /aff) BUT the characters! 😭🔥It’s supposed to be a villain origin story, but I swear, that man at most is a vigilante. We have a protagonist, Sergei, who knows best and would do anything to save his brother (except take him away from their clearly abusive father while they’re teens); we have Dmitri, who is still so desperate to earn their father’s approval and hasn’t quite managed to leave home and get out from under the Kravinoff Empire. And we have Nikolai – the ruthless head of the Kravinoff Empire, who is clearly willing to leave his sons for dead if it means securing his power. I just love the relationship between Sergei and Dmitri, as wella s the potential both have with Reader characters
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Sergei x Reader, Dmitri x Reader, Sergei x Dmitri; mainly smut, sugar daddy, healthy or unhealthy relationships, enthusiastic consent through to dubious consent and everything in between. Dominant! Dmitri, sub or dom Sergei. Kidnapping, rescue.
Content warnings (for example: epilepsy/flashing lights, rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): There are a few gory scenes, but not too graphic. 15 rated / R rated.
The Fall Guy (2024) (2hrs 6mins)
Date: 2026-03-31 10:25 pm (UTC)Media: Movie
Where to find it: Netflix, Amazon
What is it, in summary?: The Fall Guy (2024) is an action-comedy film starring Ryan Gosling as Colt Seavers, a stuntman recovering from a career-ending accident, who returns to the set to help his ex-girlfriend (Emily Blunt) direct her debut movie. While working, he must track down a missing movie star, Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and solve a conspiracy.
What do you love about it?: Not gonna lie, I am 10000% here for Tom Ryder. That man is just amazing. Self-obsessed, narcissistic, such a cliche – yet we also get little glimpses of him being easily hurt, seeing how those around him enable him and his bad behaviour terribly. I just wanna give that man a hug.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: domme!Reader/Tom Ryder, bdsm, femdomme, pre-canon, post-canon fix-it, during canon, assistant reader, fan/superstar,
Content warnings (for example: epilepsy/flashing lights, rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): I think there is one scene with flashing lights?
Nosferatu (2024) (2hrs 12mins)
Date: 2026-03-31 10:25 pm (UTC)Media: Movie
Where to find it: Now TV, amazon, google play, youtube, apple TV
What is it, in summary?:Robert Eggers' Nosferatu (2024) is a gothic horror film focusing on the obsessive, psychic connection between a haunted 19th-century woman, Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp), and the ancient Transylvanian vampire Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård). It is a remake of the 1922 classic, featuring Orlok bringing a plague to Germany while pursuing Ellen.
What do you love about it?: I think by this point you will have seen the pattern of me loving any film with Aaron Taylor-Johnson in it. Unsurprisingly, seeing him as a devoted obsessed husband who is utterly in love, just a little bit period-typical misogynistic, and has that stern vibe going for hims is just ♥️
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Friedrich x Reader, power imbalance, pre-canon/canon/post-canon fix-it/AU, bdsm, smut
Content warnings (for example: epilepsy/flashing lights, rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): scenes with dubious consent, some gore?, scene which alludes to necrophilia, plague.

Description:
Jenny (Carolina Sweets) and her friend Sandra (Whitney Wright) are giggling and gossiping in Jenny's room as they study for an upcoming text, textbooks sprawled across the bed and floor. Jenny comes across as much shyer than her friend, who is proudly listing off her sexual conquests -- Jenny marvels at how experienced Sandra is at just 19 (even at times being shocked at the perverse things her friend is admitting to have done) and especially how nonchalant she is about it. Sandra asks, well what about her, surely she has SOME kiss-and-tell stories she can share? Jenny admits not really, she's kissed a few boys but never anything more serious than some over-the-clothes fondling.
It's about then that Jenny's step-brother, Dane (Lucas Frost), walks past in the hallway and butts into the conversation. He remarks that it's no wonder that nobody is ever going to have sex with Jenny when she looks so ugly, she's unfuckable. Jenny tries to tell her older step-brother to stop, but clearly has trouble standing up to him, and Sandra looks on silently fuming as Dane takes advantage of his younger step-sister's shyness to talk over her and continue to pick on her. He makes fun of her nerdy clothing, saying it looks more like what someone in their sixties would wear, not someone who's barely 18. He makes fun of her glasses. He says that he's glad he's not really related to her. Finally, Jenny loses her calm and shrieks at him to leave. Dane ends the conversation with a final insult, telling her to go back to studying since books are the only thing that are as dull as she is.
When he's gone, Sandra stops holding her tongue and tells her friend that she can't believe how horrible Jenny's older step-brother is. How long has she been putting up with that? Jenny says ever since he moved in with them, two years ago. Sandra tells her that she would never put up with that kind of torment, and Jenny confesses she feels like she has no choice, he's so loud and rude and she's so quiet and reserved that he basically can walk all over her. Sandra tells her that he needs to be taught a lesson, she doesn't deserve that kind of treatment and he'll just keep doing it until he sees there are consequences for his actions. Besides, she says, what if he's doing this kind of thing to other poor girls at school?
Hearing this, Jenny starts to grow a backbone -- her friend is right, she would never want anybody else to feel as shitty as he makes her feel. But what could she possibly do to make him so regretful that he would never think of tormenting her again? He obviously doesn't feel bad when she cries or tells him to stop. No, Sandra agrees, bullies like that only understand one language, and that's an eye for an eye. He's been humiliating her, so she needs to do something to make him feel humiliated back. Something that's the ultimate revenge for telling her nobody would have sex with her, something that he'll remember every single time he sees her that'll trigger him. Like what? Jenny asks. Sandra gets a devious look in her eye and says she knows just the thing.
Sandra plays innocent as she walks down the hall towards Dane's room, where he is taking a shower. She waits until he comes out, surprising him. 'Whatcha doing?' Sandra says with a flirty smile. Oh, he says, he thought she was his step-sister. Aren't the two of them supposed to be studying for some big test? Sandra says yes, but they're going to be studying all night, and she needed a break. But Jenny wants to keep going and doesn't want a break. "Such a nerd, huh!?" she says lightly. Dane chuckles and agrees. Aren't they friends though? Sandra says kinda, and explains that that's the thing about friends, is it pays off to keep a wide circle of 'friends' who can each give her something she doesn't already have. Like the answers to all the tests, she says with a wink. Dane laughs and shakes his head, impressed at her bluntness. Or, she continues, like a cute older brother who she can blow off some steam with during a study break. Dane looks up at her, surprised and speechless, clearly not used to getting hit on despite all his bravado.
She moves in closer to him, crossing the threshold into his room. 'You know,' she says, 'we could be 'friends' too...' She starts to squat lower to meet his eye level, and she moves her hand to crawl her fingers up his knee like a spider. 'I bet YOU could give me something I don't already have, too...' she says seductively as her hand goes towards his inner thigh, almost right up to his crotch. He chuckles nervously, here? Now? What if his sister comes looking for her? Sandra smiles and says she's got her nose buried in books, she won't be going anywhere. So what does he say, does he want to have a little fun? Dane nods nervously but enthusiastically.
Sandra starts playing with his chest over his clothes and giggling as she feels him up. She lifts his shirt up slightly, ooh, she giggles, a six-pack. He blushes and tries to boast a bit lamely saying yeah, he works out a lot. She then starts unbuttoning his pants, saying what other fun surprises is she going to find. Then her face brightens and she says she has an idea, why doesn't she give him a couple of surprises of her own? Wouldn't it be fun if he doesn't see what she's doing? That way she could give him all sorts of fun surprises, things she's sure he's going to like. Dane seems hesitant, so Sandra continues to coax him, saying that she's heard that all the other senses are heightened when you can't see what's going on. Hearing... TOUCH, she says, as she strokes his leg with her hand... tasssste, she says, as she moves her lips inches away from his tauntingly. Dane breathes heavily and says o-okay, sure. Sandra gives him a flirty compliment saying he's so brave, willing to try something new, she likes that. She gets him to close his eyes - or, optionally, perhaps she lifts his shirt and pulls it over his head so that the shirt covers his face. Now, she says, lie back and relax.
As Dane gets comfortable, Sandra gestures outside to the hall for someone to approach. Jenny tiptoes into the room, careful not to make any noise, and Sandra helps her get into position right where she was kneeling. 'Now,' Sandra says from just beside Jenny to confuse the brother, 'are you ready?' Yeah, the brother says with his eyes covered, he's so ready!
Jenny unzips his pants, trying hard not to laugh as she and Sandra exchange looks of shock and disbelief that this is happening. Jenny takes his dick out from his boxers and starts stroking it. Dane moans in pleasure. Jenny strokes it for a little while as Sandra teases Dane verbally. Finally she asks if he wants his next surprise -- it's a wet one. Dane says yes, he wants it so bad. Jenny looks to her friend for a moment uncertainly, but her friend urges her silently to go for it, and Jenny opens her mouth and swirls her tongue along the tip of her brother's dick. Ohhh! he moans in surprise. Ooh, Sandra says, so sensitive! Jenny goes further, starting to suck and lick her brother's hard cock. Sandra is careful to tease him verbally only when his sister pulls away momentarily, to keep the ruse going.
Finally, Sandra says she has one more surprise for him, a really... tight surprise. Jenny looks at her friend in surprise and shakes her head, mouthing no, it's too much. Sandra says out loud in a flirty voice, 'Do you trust me?', clearly talking to Jenny but making Dane believe she's asking him. Sandra is about to say no again, but Dane interrupts saying yeah, he trusts her, do it! Jenny bites her lip and looks over at her brother, then her friend, who is nodding vigorously with an evil glint in her eye.
Jenny straddles him and has him take her virginity as she starts to ride him, Sandra still verbally communicating as if she is the one riding him and getting him to admit that the sex is amazing and "her" pussy is so tight and the best ever. After a few minutes, Sandra says she has one final surprise -- a twist -- and removes the shirt from Dane's face. He's shocked to see it's Jenny fucking him, with Sandra beside the bed, but neither girl stops and eventually he starts to get into it.
Sandra joins them on the bed, and the encounter turns into a threesome with Dane having sex with both of them in various positions, and the girls pleasuring him and each other at times. The girls orgasm multiple times. Sandra tells Dane she wants him to kiss Jenny which he initially refuses to do so but then relents when Sandra insists and he sees the disappointed expression on Jenny's face, the two kissing while Sandra rides him. Dane then switches positions one last time, fucking Jenny before coming on her stomach. As soon as he has finished, he is noticeably shocked and uncomfortable with what just occurred, staring at Jenny in particular, before telling the girls they can't tell anyone this ever happened and retreating to his bathroom to clean up.
Jenny and Sandra share a conspiratorial smile as Jenny quips that he'll remember what they've done for the rest of his life. She leaves the room to get cleaned up in her own room. The episode ends with Sandra staring at the bathroom Dane is in, a dark expression on her face, as she picks a golf club up from the floor and repeats, "for the rest of his life" before stalking forward.

Actors:
Bobbi Dylan, Chad White, Will Pounder
IMDB tags:
Deepthroat, Creampie, Finger in mouth, Blowjob, Almost Caught, Choking, Genital Piercings, Cheating, Brunette, Pussy Eating, Handjob
Description:
Sammy (Will Pounder) has brought his fiancée Angela (Bobbi Dylan) home to meet his brother, Dirk (Chad White). His brother essentially raised him, and Sammy looks up to his older brother, so it's very important to him that they have his "blessing" for their marriage.
Almost immediately, Dirk (a corrupt cop) reveals to Angela only that he recognises her from her rap sheet as a former criminal. When Sammy goes to pick up takeout for them all to eat, Angela and Dirk remain behind to "get to know each other". As soon as Sammy has left, Dirk turns mean, demanding sex from Angela in return for his blessing, or else he will reveal her history to his brother.
Angela reluctantly agrees and the two have sex in the kitchen/breakfast table in multiple positions. Neither Angela or Dirk are very nice to each other, lobbying insults even as they fuck.
Half-way through their encounter, Sammy returns and the two -- who are literally mid-fuck -- quickly spring apart and pull their tops on, sitting down at the kitchen island. Sammy into the kitchen with the takeout and is oblivious to the fact that on the other side of the kitchen island, neither his brother or fiancée are wearing pants. Or that Angela is giving Dirk a handjob out of sight even as they all talk. Angela and Dirk convince Sammy that he has forgotten the sauce for their meal, and he heads back out to get it, pleased to see that his brother and fiancée are getting on so well.
As soon as the door closes, Angela and Dirk resume having sex. Angela has orgasmed more than once, and starts encouraging Dirk to come on her face so she can "kiss his brother were his cum in her mouth", goading him towards a climax. Dirk verbally agrees, however, chooses to come inside of her, leaving her pissed off. Dirk is nonchalant -- "try explaining that one, bitch" -- as she sulks, glaring at him as he starts going through the takeout on the kitchen counter.

Lucas Frost, Aften Opal

Description:
A timid high school reporter named Nancy (Aften Opal) arrives at Tom (Lucas Frost)'s house to do an interview. Tom is a superstar jock, who everyone at school loves. He's handsome, great at sports, involved in the community... It seems he can do no wrong. Although Nancy's never really been interested in him, she can't deny his allure...
When Nancy begins interviewing him, she starts to see a side of him that no one ever talks about. He starts to pick on her, somehow twisting her words around to make her seem pathetic. Nancy tries to hold her own, but Tom steamrolls over her, crushing her confidence... When he starts pointing out her attraction to him, playing it up to be more intense than it actually is, things quickly go from bad to worse.
Once Tom finds out that Nancy is a virgin, he becomes relentless. Somehow, he gets in her mind and under her skin, and it's not long before he convinces Nancy that NO ONE wants to be with her. If she wants to lose her virginity before graduating and going off to college, having sex with him might be her only chance...
Caught up in the heat of the moment and ruled by her social anxiety, Nancy is troubled. If this really is her one chance to have sex, can she afford to pass it up?
Tom's behaviour doesn't become any nicer as they have sex in multiple different positions. He continues to degrade Nancy while telling her that sex with him is the best she'll ever have. At various moments he makes comments about points or scoring, and takes photos and videos of them having sex as "proof". Nancy is aware of the videoing -- and even holds the phone for Tom sometimes when he insists -- but the comments about points/scoring/proof aren't discussed.
Eventually -- after Nancy has had multiple orgasms -- Tom makes her put her glasses back on, and then comes on her face, taking a picture. He mentions points again and Nancy questions him this time, with Tom revealing he and his friends have a competition to see who can score the highest. Fucking a virgin gets so many points, coming on her glasses gets more, etc. Finished with her, Tom tells her to get dressed and go, leaving the room himself. The episode ends with Nancy looks disturbed by what she's just allowed to happen between them.
