Nosferatu (2024) (2hrs 12mins)
Date: 2026-03-31 10:25 pm (UTC)Media: Movie
Where to find it: Now TV, amazon, google play, youtube, apple TV
What is it, in summary?:Robert Eggers' Nosferatu (2024) is a gothic horror film focusing on the obsessive, psychic connection between a haunted 19th-century woman, Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp), and the ancient Transylvanian vampire Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård). It is a remake of the 1922 classic, featuring Orlok bringing a plague to Germany while pursuing Ellen.
What do you love about it?: I think by this point you will have seen the pattern of me loving any film with Aaron Taylor-Johnson in it. Unsurprisingly, seeing him as a devoted obsessed husband who is utterly in love, just a little bit period-typical misogynistic, and has that stern vibe going for hims is just ♥️
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Friedrich x Reader, power imbalance, pre-canon/canon/post-canon fix-it/AU, bdsm, smut
Content warnings (for example: epilepsy/flashing lights, rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): scenes with dubious consent, some gore?, scene which alludes to necrophilia, plague.
