Where to find it: I’ll answer that in my letter
What is it, in summary?: Wako (female manga editor) and Meguru (male fashion stylist/aspiring model) were lowkey high school friends who reconnect years later and are definitely in love but take their relationship a bit slowly, while questioning social norms regarding relationships.
What do you love about it?: If you’re like me and you saw "genderless boy" and thought this show was queer…oh well. But Meguru is canonically gender nonconforming and also beautiful! And does have a little bit of needing to overcome social pressure to present how he wants. There’s also Kira, who is definitely the most self-centered person ever, going through his first crush (apparently ever?) on a woman. He gives me major aromantic/arospec vibes. He’s doing his best.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: In addition to the modelling and manga stuff, there’s also an in-universe show called Colorful Kawaii (Colorful and Cute), where a host interacts with little kids and occasionally there are guests. The kids love Meguru after knowing him for like, a couple minutes, and Yuutan (host of that show) doesn’t initially take kindly to that. Kira is also amazing and I’m interested in his perspective in general. Meguru/Wako are also adorable and their relationship is very cute.
Content warnings: A little bit of homophobia and transphobia, though it’s mainly in the past/flashbacks. Kira definitely stalks the girl he likes but he doesn't mean harm.
