I'm not the nominator, but the Dawn of the Jedi comics are set many thousands of years before any other Star Wars content and are about as divorced from the rest of Star Wars as one can get, with a completely original cast.

I am the nominator and prev. person is correct: these are about as far as you can get from the rest of SW and still be SW, and no knowledge of any other SW is needed.
